With the General Election probably less than a year away and British politics at its most volatile in living memory, DAVID DIMBLEBY presents the first of a new series on politics inside and outside Westminster. With the help of the BBC computer, he will be analysing the polls, economic forecasts and by-election results which will increasingly dominate the political world of 1983. Bill Kerr Elliott and Stephen Bradshaw will be reporting from the grassroots. And there will be a regular look at the lighter side of the political process, this week from Simon Hoggart.
