Lotte Lenya herself sings Kurt Weill's songs in Pabst's classic version of The Threepenny Opera. Based on The Beggar's Opera, Bertolt Brecht's musical satire is set in a fantasy Soho ruled by the famous underworld character Mack the Knife.
