Third in a four-part series that examines the lack of educational choices for disabled children.
In one local education authority, Newham in London, and in a few individual schools around the country, the segregation of disabled children is recognised as discrimination and inclusive education practices are being developed. In such schools, disabled children are taught alongside their non-disabled siblings and friends in the mainstream. In this programme, teachers, parents and pupils talk about their experiences of inclusive education and what needs to be done to ensure it is successful.
