Opera on 3: Monster

on BBC Radio 3

From the Theatre Royal in Glasgow, Scottish Opera present their newest production, a collaboration between composer Sally Beamish and Scottish novelist Janice Galloway on the story of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. The opera focuses not on the monster itself but on the psychological journey that Mary Shelley travels in order to come up with this terrifying story. The opera is in two acts and is introduced by Sandy Burnett.
