Tonight, in front of one of the most enthusiastic audiences in the darts world, the last four players out of a field of 32 starters take the stage to battle for a place in the final and the prospect of winning £9,000.
The form books say that the No 1 seed, and 1982 winner,
ERIC BRISTOW , will be the first to step on to the oche against an old rival, and previous finalist, DAVE WHITCOMBE (4), and start on his way to his second British Professional Final.
