Trooping the Colour

Highlights of this morning's military spectacle in London, at which the Queen took the salute as the 1st
Battalion Scots Guards trooped their Queen's Colour. Julian Tutt was on the scene throughout the day and describes the five parts of the parade: the Inspection of the line, the Troop by the Massed Bands and Corps of Drums of the Guards Division, Troopingthe Colourthrough the ranks, the March
Past by the Foot Guards and the Rank Past by the Household Cavalry. Events included a fly-past by the RAF, watched by members of the royal family from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
