For 25 years events in Northern Ireland have proved the most sensitive area for the British news media. This Late Show special looks at how print and broadcast journalists have found their way through the minefield of information and propaganda, misinformation and cover-ups, to report on those events.
Contributors include Gerry Adams , BBC correspondent Martin Bell , Alasdair Milne , who was BBC Director-General at the time of the Real Lives controversy, the BBC's head of documentaries Paul Hamann , who made that film, Death on the Rock producer Roger Bolton , Ray Smallwoods , a loyalist who has been murdered since the film was made, and journalists Mary Holland , Simon Winchester , Peter Taylor , Roy Greenslade and Fintan O'Toole.
