Global Dimming. Scientists have discovered a phenomenon that may have already contributed to the deaths of hundreds of thousands through drought and famine. At its heart is a study that shows that the average amount of sunlight reaching the Earth has diminished over a number of years, hiding the consequences of global warming in the process - a theory labelled "global dimming".
