'Tick, tock, strike and chime,
Bury St Edmunds tells the time.'
In a Queen Anne house at Angel Corner in this Suffolk market town is kept the superb collection of Instruments for the measurement of time, bequeathed to the place of his birth by the late Frederic Gershom-Parkington, in memory of his son John. The Curator, Captain Richard Meyrick, explains the intricacies of some of the Pieces, and the clocks have their say too!
