World Snooker

on BBC Two England

Live coverage from the Crucible Theatre as two first-round matches reach their conclusion.
2000 runner-up Matthew Stevens will be favourite against Devon's Andy Hicks but it's far from a guaranteed win. Having made it to the final 16 in last year's tournament, Hicks did well in his attempts to contain Ronnie O'Sullivan , losing out just 13-11 to the eventual champion. Six-times world champion Steve Davis , meanwhile, is probably past his best but still managed to give O'Sullivan a run for his money in the final of last season's Welsh Open. His experience should be enough to see him through against qualifier Gerard Greene. With Ray Stubbs and Dennis Taylor. BBCi: digital viewers can access additional live coverage of both tables, plus news and statistics, via the handset's red button
