The Merce Cunningham Dance Company

One of the highlights of this year's Edinburgh International Festival will be the Merce Cunningham Dance Company.
Since leaving Martha Graham and founding his own company, Cunningham has been one of the most influential figures in contemporary I dance. He does not rely on story or emotions but pure movement: ; as he advises, just relax and Cunningham and the company perform sections from Rain Forest;
Septet; Solo and Soundance; and a work especially created for the programme, Video Triangle. The music is by JOHN CAGE and DAVID TUDOR. The costumes and sets are by ANDY WARHOL, ROBERT RAUSCHEN -
BERG, JASPER JOHNS and FRANK QTPT T A
