Last in the series. Under the Ice
Beyond the desolate lands of Antarctica lies an even more remote frontier - the world beneath the ice. In the eerie blue light and perpetual cold live Weddell seals, fish that produce their own anti-freeze, huge sea spiders and spectacular colonies of colourful sponges.
With intrepid divers and remote-controlled cameras, the programme explores this remarkable seascape to see why life is so much more prolific below the ice than on the surface above.
