The Globe Shrinkers

on BBC Television

In Bristol a team of designers are making the engines that will power the Anglo-French supersonic airliner. Out of the same factory came the revolutionary vertical take-off engine for the P-1127. This film is about the hopes, the fears, and the problems of these designers-men who have found success in an industry that has learned to live with failure.
