The last in the present series of investigations into the paranormal. Introduced by Colin Wilson In the Mind's Eye
The mile or so of dockland that borders the Thames from Tower Bridge to the Isle of Dogs attracts ghosts, it seems, as the Tower itself attracts tourists; so it was a good starting-point for an examination of the psychology of ghost stories and the people who believe them. The investigators include a writer, Frank Smyth, and a hypnotist, Dr Ian Fletcher, from the Society for Psychical Research.
Tonight's programme traces the history of one rather unorthodox ghost that has now become part of the folklore of the riverside.
