1.00 Tennis At the Roland Garros stadium in Paris it's the middle weekend of the French Open, this year's second Grand Slam event. Fought out on its distinctive red clay courts, both men's and women's singles are at the third-round stage.
3.00 Golf The PGA championship, the European Tour's flagship event, reaches its climax on Wentworth's famed fairways in Surrey.
The successor to last year's winner, Ignacio Garrido , of Spain, stands to pocket a cheque for more than L400,000 by the end of play today. There are also vital Ryder Cup points on offer for Europe's finest golfers looking to secure a place on the team for the autumn showdown with the United States.
