A series of plays specially written by famous authors featuring distinguished English and Continental actresses in solo performances
[Starring] Mai Zetterling
Olympia returns from her husband's funeral to the room above her tobacconist's shop in a small Italian town. Is she crying? No, she is suffering from a fit of uncontrollable laughter. This is an amusing story of a man and two women, with an ironic ending.
Mai Zetterling is one of Europe's leading actresses. She has appeared in a wide variety of plays from Shakespeare to Anouilh, but is probably best known in Britain for her leading roles in Ibsen and Chekhov. During the last few years she has turned her attention more to films and has directed Loving Couples and Night Games.
