' It's a real live urban fairytale. It started 18 years ago, in what seemed a vast, soulless housing estate on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Here people, frustrated by the quality of their lives, came together to start a festival. Little did they dream where that would lead, that by releasing the creative energies in their community, it would carry them not only into Europe, but would have people from all over the world knocking on their front door.'
