An appeal on behalf of THE SUSSEX DIOCESAN ASSOCIATION
FOR THE DEAF AND DUMB by CHRISTOPHER STONE , D.S.O., M.C.
Tonight's appeal is on behalf of the four hundred deaf and dumb in Sussex, fifty of whom are also totally blind. The Sussex Diocesan Association for the Deaf and Dumb is the only agency in the county to promote their spiritual and social welfare. No State or Local Government aid is given for the deaf, and the Association is dependent on voluntary aid. Funds are urgently needed.
