The Hunting Party
The story of a race between a band of Aborigines and Australian SAS Army Reserves.
These two parties set out to cross, on foot, more than 50 miles of the tough tropical terrain in Northern
Australia. The soldiers have compasses, maps, two-way radios and rifles as well as water bottles. The Aborigines - led by the Aboriginal actor, David Guilpilil , and accompanied by one of Australia's top TV personalities,
Michael Willesee - have their spears and woomeras, but also the bush lore passed down from their ancestors.
The result illustrates not just their respective survival skills, but their very different attitudes to life and its priorities.
