Canalctto at Warwick Castle
David Piper. Director of the Ashmolean Museum at Oxford. talks about one of the two most famous views of Warwick Castle which Canaletto painted in about 1749 during his ten-year stay in England. Both. until recently threatened with being exported, are now being acquired by Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
