A series featuring a selection of BBCtv programmes viewers have particularly asked to see again.
Sir Ralph Richardson was 70 last year. As an actor he continues to triumph in the theatre, most recently in Home, West of Suez and Lloyd George Knew My Father. Off stage he is a wonderful raconteur and a sharp observer of life. In this informal portrait, filmed in Bognor where Sir Ralph goes for holidays, and in his own home, he talked to Patrick Garland about his strange childhood by the sea, early days in the theatre, his love of literature and painting, and his wide-ranging interests and hobbies.
