5.00-12.00 BARCELONA NIGHTS
BBC Radio 3 launches a four-day weekend of live concerts, opera, features and snapshots from the Catalan capital, sampling as much of the life there as it is possible to capture in four Barcelona Nights. Not only is the city designated as European City of Culture for the millennium, it has just opened two important new arts venues, the Auditori concert halls and the Liceu opera house - reconstructed after the devastating fire of 1994.
