Along with his colleague Charles Bordes , d'lndy formed the Schola Cantorum in Paris with the aim of reforming the practice of sacred music. D'lndy was also involved in overseeing the re-organisation of the curriculum of the Paris Conservatoire and the public acclaim he was accorded extended well beyond the borders of France.
