A series of films showing what life was like in Britain, France and Germany from 1900-50, seen through the eyes of amateur film enthusiasts.
Towards War 1936-9
: Unrest spreads across Europe as the Civil War breaks out in Spain, and the Olympic Games and the Nuremberg Rally take place in Germany. In Britain there is still time for a few final flings for the home-movie makers, including a cruise and a visit to Ascot, before the Second World War breaks out.
