Ray Mears's Extreme Survival

on BBC Two England

Namibia. Rain seldom falls on Namibia's Skeleton Coast, where the temperature regularly exceeds 50°C/122°F. It has been the scene of countless shipwrecks, one of which left 80 British passengers stranded and relying on airdrops. Ray Mears visits this unforgiving desert wasteland to track down one of its few residents, the highly endangered black rhino, and, with the assistance of local bushmen, shows how survival can be achieved against the odds.
