Born of Scottish parentage in Adelaide, South Australia, in 1882, Peter Dawson first came to England and studied singing under Frank L. Bamford , of Glasgow, and later with Sir Charles Santley and Professor Kantorez.
His first gramophone record was made in 1904, since when over ten million have been sold throughout the world. He first appeared in opera at Covent Garden in 1909 in the German season under the baton of the late Dr. Hans Richter , and has made concert tours all over the world.
