BBC Television Outside Broadcast cameras visit Sir Roy Dobson, Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a pioneer in the aircraft industry for more than forty years, at his home near Macclesfield, Cheshire.
Introduced by Berkeley Smith.

A Yorkshireman by birth, Sir Roy Dobson has been associated with the famous Lancashire firm of A.V. Roe since 1914, first as a member of the engineering staff, then as works manager, general manager, director, and finally, as he is still, managing director. Playing an important part in the development of such famous aircraft as the Avro Anson and the Lancaster bomber, he was awarded the C.B.E. in 1942 and was knighted in 1945.
