from Barnsdale
Presented by Geoff Hamilton and Roy Lancaster
Barnsdale has been planted with the small cottage garden in mind and after three-and-a-half years is beginning to look mature and beautiful. We look at the plants which have been used and the inevitable glaring mistakes. Vegetable gardeners must always look ahead, and this week we have autumn and winter crops in mind.
Culinary herbs are becoming more popular and the herb garden at Barnsdale grows a wide range. Herb specialist Lesley Bremness advises on how to make better use of them and how to store them. Producer DENIS w. GARTSIDE
