Film Matinee: The World in his Arms

on BBC One London

starring Gregory Peck, Ann Blyth, Anthony Quinn

Rex Beach's story of Jonathan Clark, a bold sea captain who sails his schooner into the lawless Alaskan seas of the 1850s to win a fortune in seal pelts, makes a fine vehicle for Gregory Peck.
Ann Blyth plays the beautiful Russian countess with whom he falls in love, and Anthony Quinn his seal-poaching rival.
