Last of ten films set in one of Britain's top boarding schools for boys. Gaudy
The summer term at Radley College is drawing to a close. It's time for pranks and practical jokes -and policing, as Housemasters and Dons turn vigilante. For nothing must go wrong on Gaudy Day, when the College is en fête to 1,000 parents. Laid on for them are concerts and cricket, puppy shows, Paradise Lost, and mounds of strawberry tarts under the spreading chestnut trees. Here the Warden says goodbye to another generation of Radleians - and incidentally to a BBC film crew, which has chronicled his movements for the last six months.
