The present world indoor champion and No 1 seed Tony Allcock will be hoping to repeat his success of last year at Coatbridge and win a handsome prize of £16,000. On paper, providing he has won his first-round match, he will have a relatively easy ride against either Colin Sommerville (Sco) or David Le Marquand (Jer).
