An appeal on behalf of the Old People's Welfare Work of the National Council of Social Service by Maude Royden
At the suggestion of the Assistance Board, the National Council of Social Service has set up a Committee to extend work for the welfare of old people in wartime. While many of these still remain in bombed areas, others have been evacuated to country billets, homes, and hospitals, where they are looked after by local organisations. Many more homes are needed.
Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged and should be addressed to Dr. Maude Royden, [address removed].
