Sharing their vision for an all-encompassing music policy were co-directors guitarist John Williams and pianist and composer Richard Rodney Bennett

Education was at the forefront of the "All Music" plan and Alyn Shipton also talks to Avril Dankworth , who started the summer music courses at Wavendon, and to former pnme minister Edward Heath , who conducted a performanceof Tom Sawyer 's Saturday, a work by John Dankworth for narrator and youth orchestra.
