Bonobo - Missing in Action. The least known of the great apes is shy and peace-loving, traits that mirror man's gentler side. Their forest home, though, in the Democratic Republic of Congo is overrun by war, and scientists fear they could soon be extinct. Dr Frances White makes an emotional return to see if the bonobos she once studied have survived. Fergal Keane narrates. Last in series, which is scheduled to return this autumn.
