Drama, based on a true story.
After a privileged upbringing, 18-year-old student Sung Neng Yee is eager to become part of the "new society" in fifties China. But she becomes troubled by the oppressive state and its effect on her family. She is soon ordered to appear before a ruthless servant of the state.
