In 1963 Gerald Durrell created the Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust, and now there are over 1,000 of the world's rarest animals living in 25 acres of landscaped gardens. Roy Lancaster explains the planting scheme with the help of Major Hawkins and Martin Bourke of the Zoological Gardens.
