Ray Mears's Extreme Survival

on BBC Two England

The survival expert follows in the footsteps of his childhood hero Robert Rogers , a frontiersman who achieved fame for an incredible feat of wilderness endurance during the Seven Years War with the French over 250 years ago. Racing against the imminent onset of winter, captain Rogers used his intimate knowledge of the forests of North America to keep his soldiers alive as they struggled back from a raid deep in enemy territory.
