Harrison Bergeron

on BBC Two England

Science-fiction drama, based on a short story by Kurt Vonnegut , starring
Sean Astin
The year is 2053. Excellence and achievement have been suppressed and people are made to wear electronic headbands that scramble intelligent thought. Everyone becomes equally average-and equally mediocre.
Everyone, that is, except Harrison, a bright and passionate young man who finds that his mind cannot be contained by the headband. He is scheduled for a therapeutic lobotomy, but on the eve of his operation, the secret government elite, run by John Klaxon , recruits Harrison to their ranks.
