Introduced by Peter Scott with Philippa Scott.
The jungles of Trinidad are rich in animal life. When Peter Scott and his wife, Philippa, were there in the winter the hillsides were aflame with the vermilion blossoms of the Immortelle trees. He was particularly interested in the butterflies and other insects to be seen on the New York Zoological Society's Field Research Station at Simla and also in the birds, especially the curious oil-bird which finds its way about caves in total darkness by echo-location.
