World Championships from Birmingham. A week of top class gymnastics ends today with the last five individual apparatus finals. Romanian
Lavinia Milosovici won the floor exercise at the Barcelona
Olympics with a magnificent routine. She should be in contention for gold once again in what is traditionally the show-stopping discipline in any tournament. The women's beam competition is also held, while six-times Olympic gold medallist Vitaly Scherbo will be the man to beat in the vault, parallel bars and high bar.

Sheffield. The second day of play sees 1991 World champion John Parrott in first round action against
Irishman Stephen O'Connor , the world amateur champion.
Jimmy White won his first UK professional title this season and later, he completes his first round match against Northern Ireland's Joe Swail , one of the discoveries of the season.
