Creative Countryside
Last summer Bernard Price made a personal journey through England to explore the ways its varied landscape has inspired so many of our best-loved artists and musicians. For many people Ashdown Forest in Sussex is known as 'Pooh Country', so vivid are the images of A.A. Milne's books and Ernest Shepard's illustrations. BERNARD PRICE plays Pooh sticks under the real Pooh Bridge and guides us further off the beaten track to discover other less familiar artists whose work celebrates the diversity of the English countryside.
