Young Musicians 96: Eurovision Final

The biennial competition to find the Eurovision Young Musician reaches the final in Lisbon, Portugal. Eight finalists, out of an original list of players from 22 countries, compete forthe title by playing movements from concertos of their choice, accompanied by the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra conducted by Luis Izquierdo. Two years ago, cellist
Natalie Clein became the first British winnerof the Europe-wide contest. This year violinist
Rafal Payne won the BBC Young Musician competition and the right to represent the UK. Presented by Sarah Walker.
