The Day That Changed My Life 8.00pm BBC2
Teenager Diba Kapic grew up in the Bosnian town of Stolac, where here father was a surgeon. When the town underwent "ethnic cleansing", her family fled alongside all the other Muslim residents who made up 80 per cent of the population. Diba was one of the lucky ones: she got a flight to London, where she is now trying to begin a new life, while her family remains at home.
This is her account of the loneliness and frustration that marked her arrival at Heathrow. "You try to live life normally and sometimes you forget yourself. You have a laugh about things, and suddenly you think - how can you be laughing right now when someone will be dying back home."
