While Mr Morley chatted happily about false teeth and perverted businessmen, the Royal portraitist painted diligently on, pausing only once to listen to a refreshing view on art: "You artists," Morley told him, "are a prissy lot who always have the last word; you're in a very privileged position." "I agree," said Poole.
"Well, just remember that when I tell you that you've got the colour of my eyes wrong."
