Theology, Drugs and Zen

on BBC Radio 3

Three talks by R. C. ZAEHNER 3: Salvation through Death
Professor Zaehner suggests that until the churches recapture the mystical element in Christianity they will have failed. This is what Zen has to offer - the death of the empirical self and the discovery of man's timeless dimension. He recognises that drugs can produce this experience, but at a terrible risk.
