The last in a series of six Alan Bush
' Life became my pantheon and homo sapiens the object of my devotion.'
ALAN BUSH , English composer and pianist, professor at the Royal Academy of Music, is a Marxist and Communist Party member. Despite his considerable output of opera, symphonies, concertos and choral works, his music is rarely heard this side of the Iron Curtain. This programme provides a chance to hear some of it, and for Alan Bush to relate- his personal commitment to his work and the events that have forged his beliefs.
