Wildlife Showcase

on BBC Two England

A series of nine programmes featuring natural history films from other countries. Wildlife of the River Valley There is more to Australian wildlife than kangeroos and koalas. Phil Simon, an award-winning wildlife cameraman, has taken a detailed look at the Bellinger River Valley between Sydney and Brisbane. He found creatures as diverse as anywhere in Australia - water dragons, blue-tongued skink, topknot and wompoo pigeons, bandy-bandy snakes and bower birds. His camera has captured some of the unique and unusual aspects of their lifestyle and behaviour. Directed and photographed by PHIL SIMON
