World Snooker

on BBC Two England

Live action from the Crucible in Sheffield, as world number three Ronnie O'Sullivan takes on the Chinese sensation Ding Junhui. O'Sullivan didn't have the best of times last season, but his natural play always attracts a large following, and he will be looking to avenge his defeat in the final of last August's Northern Ireland Trophy at the hands of Junhui. The young Chinese player, meanwhile, has a lot to prove this year, as he didn't qualify for the televised rounds of the world championship in 2006. On the other table, veterans Steve Davis and John Parrott conclude their first-round match.
