The second of three programmes following intrepid globetrotters as they travel the world on shoestring budgets.
University friends Harry and Lynton begin theirseven-week trip with a marathon 30-hour train journey to
Naples, from where they proceed to explore the exotic island of Capri and the heel of Italy.
Low points on the trip include a mugging in Italy that lightens Lynton's wallet and the prospect of having to abandon the project when disaster almost strikes in Greece on the island ofKarpathos.
Not all the adventure is so traumatic, though. There's a dip at dawn in the warm Mediterranean, and an opportunity to experience the eerie atmosphere of the Monastery of St John in the hillsides of Arcadia, with its room full of skulls. Then, journeying on through the surreal volcanic landscape of Turkey, they reach the country's largest city, Istanbul, and theirjoumey'send.
