The series on Asian affairs returns with a report on bandits in Pakistan.
Held to Ransom. Shootings and kidnappings are a daily event in the southern province of Sindh.
Bandits, called dacoits, are holding the region to ransom. Their reign of terror is now so serious that 40,000 paramilitary police and troops have been sent in to purge their hideouts. For this report, East has gained access for the first time to the dacoit camps. Producer Farah Durrani
